Your posting touched me, for I too love everything in nature. Here in Southern California, during parts of the year, in one day we can be in the desert, on a snow covered mountain and at the ocean if we wanted to. Some people ski in the mornings and go surfing in the afternoons. And parts of Northern California (Lake Tahoe, etc.) whooooo wee BE-U-TEE-FULL.

I think a mind clearing ride in the country will get a person closer to GOD than a stack of bibles. I must say though....don't be so hard on GOD. A Creator who planned such a wonderous earth, with all the inherent majestic beauty, certainly has a most excellent plan for His greatest creations - his children on Earth. If we can get past, step around, or walk over the man-made "crap" here, and live our lives by the Golden Rule, then I believe, without a doubt, all will be well with us and the best is yet to be. Just go for another ride in the country, and see if what I said isn't true.

Talking to the dead

as the borg hammered us into thinking that anyone who had contact with the dead were in fact speaking to the demons, however, now we know that a lot of their teachings are full of sh*t.. i lost my dad at the start of this year.

a couple of months later i bump into a close friend who has known dad for many years.. this guy was stoked that he was getting married and mentioned how it was a shame dad wasn't around for the wedding.. yesterday i called in to see him and he told me something that had happened to him.. he was talking to his sister, who lives in another town, and she is active in some spiritual group.

she said she had never met jack, my dad, but that she has been talking to him and that he had a message he wanted given to this friend, her brother.. dad wanted him to get out of this relationship fast.. he never took it seriously and carried on as usual.. not long after that, this fiancee of his smashed up his 4x4, was on a restricted drivers licence and spent the money he gave her for his hire purchases.. so, his truck is wrecked, he can't claim insurance to get it repaired, he still has to pay it off, a lot of his possessions have been repo-ed and that basically he is in sh*t street without a shovel.. do you think it was a message from my dad ??.

I remember one case, a woman in a cong. I was in had a relative she absolutely hated, they never spoke to each other. Yet when she died she evidently contacted this hated relative to ask how her daughters were getting along. Why didn't she just contact her daughter directly, or another relative? Why the one she hated so much while she was alive?

Was that a JW congregation? Didn't that freak her out considering JW's believe those that die just "sleep" and do not have spirits?

I think you've already made up your mind that it will NEVER happen. Before you can become open-minded, you first have to OPEN your mind...it is so clear from your posts that you will continue to have a one-sided conversation and will not "listen" to others....and I think we all know where this comes from. (you don't wish to 'betray' the borg, so you'll be a good and loyal little robot who has no independent thought). Again I'll state, you previously complained asked for scriptural backup on topics, which several posters supplied to you, but you never responded to them.

I've never been a JW. But I have a friend who is one and who cannot answer this one question. For several months now, I've asked other active JW's on the board the same question, still it is ignored. I'll ask you.

The Catholics follow their authority to the "true" church of Christ through Peter and the Apostles. The Protestants, claim the Catholics went astray and they have restored the truth to the original Church, (therefore they claim they go back through Peter too). Even the Mormans claim to have the "true" church restored directly by God...Whatever....at least they all can trace their authority back to God (either you believe it or you don't). The Jehovah's Winessess claim to be the TRUTH, God's authorized eartly organization for the past 6,000 years. I understand JW history from Charles Russell to the present, but how do you get from Christ to Charles Russell? Where is there definite proof that Jehovah has said that the Witnesses are his only TRUE authorized earthly organization? Were there visions? Annointings? Visitations? What make you so sure that this is the TRUTH? Feelings, faith? Other people have strong feelings and faith. What concrete evidence do you have?
